How can I use system update after I have changed motherboard

#1 Post by sdulyx » Sun Sep 09, 2007 3:38 am

I changed my t60's motherboard. But I find I can't use system update software to update my driver and software now. It is because of system update software can't get the correct machine type from BIOS.
How can I use system update after I have changed motherboard? How can I write my t60's machine type into my bios?

If IBM had replaced it you could've requested them to feed it in for you.

You will need a Maintenance Diskette which IBM authorized centers have access to. You can find more info. in this thread.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
