Trying to buy T61 SXGA+ 14.1"

#1 Post by dfumento » Sun Sep 09, 2007 12:55 pm

I don't want the wide screen, just the "normal" SXGA+ 4:3 (1440 x 1050?) screen, but I can't seem to find it on the Lenovo site and sales is closed today (Sunday)!

Just want Windows Vista Business, 6 cell battery, 2GB RAM, 1.8 or 2.0 GHz, GMA graphics, 3 year warranty

Any idea how to do this, esp. with a standard model so that one doesn't have to wait for one month or more.

I looked throught the IBM/Lenovo psref and could not find anything.

TIA,
David

You need to look for the T61p. It's under "ThinkPad Mobile Workstation" on the Lenovo site.

Thank you, but I don't want the 'p' model which is more expensive and uses high end graphics card. Just a standard model like was offered for T60. Thanks.

I do believe the 4:3 screens are only offered on the p models.

No it is offered on the T61 as well.

To the original poster: I went to lenovo.com and I found the 14.1" SXGA+ screen which is the one you're looking for. When you go to the page of T61 14"ers, the two models to the right are 4:3.

Those two models are XGA by default, but there's a $30 option that makes them SXGA+, fortunately...

Thank you. I would never have thought of this. Lenovo must do something to make the website easier to use.
