What should I do with the display on my T22

Ok, so I got another T22, the screen has a dead pixel towards the lower middle right side. There are also a few little tiny gray spots down towards the bottom right side.

Now on my old T22(which is rendered useless), the LCD has no dead pixels do far, but the LCD sort of shakes, in the lower right hand corner, when I tap on the area below the keyboard or when I type a little too hard( like it looks when you push on the backside of the LCD when it is on) ... I am really not sure what could casue that.

Well anyways, what I am getting at is should I live with the dead pixel and spots... or should I put my old LCD assembly and LCD on it and live with the shaking?

Typically LCD's don't shake...sounds like a connection. You might be surprised that the old LCD works perfectly. I'd give it a try if I were you and use the broken ThinkPad as a parts machine for when and if other things break.

jep, sounds like a connection-problem. Had that once with an T22.
make sure the connection is invariable, maybe blow some air in the connector to get out some sort of dirt.

Well I popped my old LCD onto my new T22, crossed my fingers, and fired it up. Low and behold it works!! No shaking either, I guess it was the connection!

P.S. Ill take the advice on keeping the other T22 around for parts, I know I will need them sometime.
