how to get questions answered?
sometimes i have issues with my thinkpads. i post questions here in the forum but they don't always get answered. i bump these posts several times and it sometimes helps. I don't want to spam bumping my thread everyday (as one of the moderators politely asked me to), however i really would like to have some issues resolved. so how do i go about doing it without spamming or duplicating posts

Make the subject as specific as possible. And be patient. If someone can answer your questions, they will reply.

Difficult to say, it is...
Depending upon the type of problem it is, the answer could already be found through a search of past threads OR it's so unique that nobody can offer up any advice.
- Patience is the key in most cases. There is a forum rule about keeping thread bumping to once every three days. Wait out those three days and see what happens.
- Keep an eye on the "Views" counter to see if your post is being read.
- Use a succinct subject line to describe your problem.
- Describe what you have done (or not done) to solve the issue.
Sometimes I will go back through the "View unanswered posts" listing and see if I can answer any question that has remained untouched in the last couple of days. I too hate it when I see a post which has not been addressed.
edit: Sorry about duplicating a couple of points that pianowizard already mentioned. I was off looking at the "unanswered posts" listing...
