ryengineer...I need help! Regarding the Intel Turbo Memory

#1 Post by k2canezsd » Wed Sep 12, 2007 12:32 am

I just got my computer back and I'm trying to download the Intel Turbo Memory problem fix that you recommended a couple weeks ago due to the random freezes. This is what you told me to do:

1. Sir, please download Version 7.5 of the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager. Kindly also run Thinkvantage System Update to download all the latest drivers, critical updates (notably BIOS) and other required applications.

***

However, when I try to download it now (it worked the last time) it tells me this:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software.

Setup will exit."

Do you have any idea what's going on?

Also, how do I confirm I have the Intel Turbo Memory?

Thanks!!!

I am not sure if this is going to help but go to BIOS and make sure SATA AHCI is set instead of compatibility mode for HDD settings.

You can find some installation instructions from lenovo.

To find whether you've a Turbo memory or not, follow this:

Start > Right click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management > If you see a FAT32 drive with something named Cache then that's the Turbo memory.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
