Lid of the T60

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Wed Sep 12, 2007 10:16 pm

Am I the only one or do other feel that the outer lid of the T60s are not easy to maintain?
The material that the lid is made of seems to show wear and tear even under the lightest of use...............

Couldn't the T60 lid (outer Shell) be made of a better material ? I understand that it is really strong, but it looks bad................
ThinkPad T-60 2623D7U, 4GB Kingston HyperX / ThinkPad T-60P 2008-83U , 4GB Kingston HyperX.
Running Windows 7 on both units. Dedicated ThinkPad user for about 18 years.

I've recently aquired T23, the outer shell is so much stronger than my T60. It seems that lenovo/IBM was really cheap and didn't want to included that extra plastic. Or maybe they wanted to reduce the weight of the machine...
But this is only cosmetic issue, the machine itself is rock solid and much more stronger than T23 (which i have to baby around).
