You know what, with my move to NYC quickly approaching, I will soon get busy preparing for it. As a result, I want to sell this ASAP so that I can focus on the preparation. The price has been lowered to $699 shipped, or $679 if you pick it up locally.

Thanks for the tip! I do want to sell this quickly, so perhaps I will try $720 shipped. But as a newbie on that forum, I might have a hard time getting it sold!wearetheborg wrote:Piano, Try

I looked at that listing, and realised he had dropped the price to 915, and had an external dvdwriter, so $700 might be more appropriate.pianowizard wrote: Thanks for the tip! Thanks nonny and gator for their excellent moderation in this thread.
I would like to apologize for my name calling yesterday. I overreacted to Zephir's statement that I had paid less than my asking price for this tablet. I was upset for two reasons. First, after buying the tablet off eBay, I actually had to spend another $50 for the digitizer pen and recovery discs, so the figure s/he stated was incorrect. But more importantly, I feared that many people believe it's wrong to sell something for more than what one has paid for it, so I worried that Zephir's revelation of how much I paid would prevent me from selling this tablet.
I thought more about these issues last night, and came to the conclusion that I had been too paranoid. True, some potential buyers might now feel that I am overcharing and exploiting them. Indeed, I had a very interested buyer, who later changed his mind without giving an explanation, possibly due to Zephir's posts. But most people here are much smarter than that, and understand that many sellers on this forum or on eBay sell their items for a profit. In fact, many people do this for a living. I do it to finance my hobby of collecting and experimenting with laptops. We all know how expensive this hobby is. Just two days ago, I ruined a T21 by trying to remove its BIOS password, and as a result lost around $60 (I had to sell it as a barebone unit for real cheap). I am hoping to compensate for losses like that by selling this tablet for $80 more than what I paid.
In any case, personal attacks are strictly forbidden on this forum. I will not do it again.

Actually Piano, I'm not sure it can be called "profit".
1.You had to find a decent tablet with warranty.
2. You had to take the risk of dealing with ebay seller.
3. You had to find a decent deal on the pen.
4. Find decent deal on recovery discs.
5. Install XP.
6. Pack & Mail the laptop.
I would say $80 is labor charge for 1-6.
Profit= Selling cost - (Cost of goods+ Labor)
Here you are just selling your labor for $80
