T40 Port Replicator

Noob here,

I have had my T40 now for officially over 4 years, and she is still running like a champ.

My question is, now that I realized how easy it is to do some upgrades to get her competeing with a new system, I was looking in a docking station.

Anything i should be looking out for, or any issues that come along with having one? I want to keep the t40, pick up a fancy moniter, and save my penny's for a desktop in the near future.

Port Replicators and Mini-docks are all over ebay for $20-30. I bought one recently and it was like new.

The Dock II is noisy - so I don't even use mine.

Yea I did some ebay searching and picked up a port replicator for 30 bucks shipped. Just didnt know if there was anything else to worry about when picking one up, besides getting the correct power supply and locking key if needed.

The Port Replicator II runs off the standard 72W adapter - it's the Mini Dock that requires a special adapter and locking key.
