Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool???

So Lenovo tells me I will have to download ThinkVantage System Update™ in order for me to get full updates. I love the software installer. However in ordre for me to download I need to download


Note: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or later is required for ThinkVantage System Update to work properly.

However that would mean I have to install th genuine advantage validation tool. I tried to avoid it for as long as possible for fear of problems although my copy of windows is legit. I heard it was invasive.

For the majority of you was it okay?

I have used the WGA tool to get the .NET framework, and everything worked without a hitch. I have tried to avoid it as you have, but I have been unable to find a way around it, so I just get it over with.

I believe if you fulfill the system requirements you won't be asked about WGA:
