UltraNav CDR/W for R52

Help !

I have a ThinkPad R52 (1858W14) and I love the machine. I need some assistance.

When I check the IBM/Lenovo websites I immediately feel the onset of a migraine headache. The sites - at least as far as I can make out - offer no concrete guidance in nontechnical English as to which addon UltraNav Drive will work with my laptop.

I have sent 2 emails (one each to IBM and Lenovo ) and they send replies advising that I send the email to a different department.

Is there anyone currently using an UltraNav CDR/W on a R52/1858W14 who can give me the correct part number and a feel for your experience using it?

I think you mean UltraBay. The part number for the CDRW/DVD drive is 73P3275. I would suggest buying one on eBay where you will get it much cheaper.
