T40/R40

Do the T40's and R40's use the same prosesser??
T40 ~ P-1.5 GHz ~ 512MB ~ 40 GB~ Win XP
Fujitsu LT P-600 - 30gb -256mb win 2000
Past~ X30 ~ T23 ~ T21 ~x20

Most R40 models use Pentium 4 instead of the T40's Pentium M. A few R40's do use Pentium M.

... if you check the thread T4X specs (see the post of Sun Jan 28, 2007 1:35 pm), you'll find links to the trwbook (official name: Personal Systems Reference, IBM ThinkPad R Series, 2001 to 2005 - withdrawn, May 2005 - Version 291), containing specifications for the R40's, and if you see tawbook (official name: Personal Systems Reference, IBM ThinkPad Notebooks A, T, X, and G Series, 2000 to 2005 - withdrawn, May 2005 - Version 291), containing specifications for the T40's etc.

Quite a few R40's are using Celeron's.
