X61 Tablet defective fan!

#1 Post by jamess » Mon Sep 17, 2007 1:31 pm

When running on batteries, fan goes on and off all the time. That is annoying, but beside this, there is a strange sound when the fan stops spinning and when it starts. So when the RPM is low. It is very loud and sound as if there was something wrong with the bearings.

I guess the only thing i can do is take it in to service :S

Any suggestions?

Please update the BIOS and look into this thread for more info.

If that does not solve the issue then please call IBM in your local country, you've every right to avail your warranty.

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
