Can the cable assembly in a keyboard be replaced ?

#1 Post by wearetheborg » Tue Sep 18, 2007 2:44 am

I have a defective keyboard, and I believe its a manufacturing defect in the cable which connects to the laptop - normally there are regular circuit lines in the cable, in this case on side its as if a peice of circuit line has come off, like a piece of paint.
Can the cable be replaced easily ? If so, where would I go about getting this cable ?

My guess is no, but if you want to try, about the only way you can get a replacement cable is by cannibalizing another keyboard. In vew of the relatively low prices for working keyboards, though, it may not be worth your trouble.
