B Antenna Compatibility to BG

#1 Post by malachont » Wed Sep 19, 2007 6:40 am

Hi all,

I salvaged an intel 2200BG card from a non-thinkpad laptop that died. From what I read on the forum many people have successfully upgraded their A31p using this card. My A31p has B Wifi card built in (from IBM I guess). My question - is the B antenna compatible with the BG transmission standard or will it be safer (performance and health-wise) to take the BG antenna too from the dead laptop and replace it instead of the A31p B antenna?

Thanks

I used the instructions on:
