Congratulations Steve :!: :D

Witnessing the birth of our three daughters was probably the most emotional time of my life. Priceless!

So true. I don't think I've cried in years, but I sobbed my little eyes out when my son was born. I almost fainted. :D

Thank you to everyone!

@Dan: I did sort of witness it, but she was born via C-Section, so it isn't the same. I too cried when she was born, well, a few tears fell anyway... Re: Censorship..thanks...too many perverts out there...let the days of being a protective father watching out for his daughter begin.

BTW: This is our second child...our first is our son, who is now 5...both were born via c-sections at 34.5 weeks.

Did the NICU take her right after she was born? My baby went 41.5 weeks!!

I was relieved that we were having a boy because I didn't want the extra responsibility of being a security guard! :)

Don't lose too much more weight, you'll need to throw your weight around soon enough!

Yeah, she is in NICU now. I still plan on losing more weight, but I will be in better shape to fight off the guys!!

P.S.
I added some more pics above...

Congrats Steve, she is adoring!, enjoy the blessing.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

My fiancée was surprised how big your baby is considering how early your wife delivered!

Congratulations Steve!! :D So many new babies around here. She really does look like you, what color is her hair?? She is a very good weight, even if she was born a bit early. She looks very healthy, and crabby to be out of that nice warm cocoon. Best wishes to you and your wife.

Congratulations!

I have a 9 year old tomboy. She can defend herself when I'm not there. Just ask her 11 year old brother!

Since I'll be 54 years old when she graduates, I figure I'll be in poor shape compared to the jocks I remember in school. Had to come up with an alternative defense plan..

A hearty congratulations to both you and your wife, Steve! A new baby is truly awe inspiring, always.

I notice in one of the photos that she got a "foot print" of some sort on a certificate. Is that a hospital thing or just a fun personal thing?

Take care and sleep well,

Phil.

a bit late, but my best wishes to you and the wife person..
she who did most all of the work.. :)

so!, now, it's is on you, Steve, aka Abu el Banat..!

which recalls this scene from the "West wing" tv show..
The President doesn't seem to care for the men his daughters choose. He tells Debby,
"...fifteen years ago we took a trip to Egypt. All five of us [one wonders where Annie was since she would have been about a year old 15 years ago, but maybe he was rounding off and it was more like 17 years ago --- editor]. Saw the Pyramids and Luxor and then headed up into the Sinai. We had a guide, a Bedouin man, who called me 'Abu el Banat'. And whenever we'd meet another Bedouin, he'd introduce me as Abu el Banat. And the Bedouin would laugh and laugh and offer me a cup of tea. And I'd go to pay them for the tea and they wouldn't let me. 'Abu el Banat' means 'Father of daughters' They thought the tea was the least they could do."
therefore, you now have a standing invitation, when ever in the atlanta area, to tea at La Casa de Morrow.. 8)

I just went through this 3 weeks ago tomorrow. It's just for fun, and they didn't even fill out the information. It's a nice keepsake though.

Maybe I'll have to swing by on my way to Disney World in January...hmmm ;-)

I'll be posting my Weigh in Wednesday video today with a twist. I can't access YouTube's website while I am at the hospital. (EDIT: It has been uploaded)

It was a hospital thing, we didn't have anything to do with it. I am sure that it is something that they will send us home with. It could also be used for identification. The hospitals have locked down even more then when my son was born 5 years ago....maybe a security issue. I didn't really get to see the paper, aside from the photo.
