Switch off display in T61p

#1 Post by SetTainte » Thu Sep 20, 2007 2:16 am

So far I'm missing one option from my old T43 - switch off display -button.
Does T61p have that funktion?

I can see no better funktion during lessons when you only need the display for 10 s every now and then while typing --> huge battery saveing.

Fn+F3

You can set it to power off the display or show you the Power plan.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

if you don't have an external display hooked up then you can also use Fn+F7.   this method will also prevent the display from waking up in the event of a mouse movement or key press.
