N100 display/backlight in a T60p?

#1 Post by RedSoxFox7 » Fri Sep 21, 2007 7:24 pm

I just got a T60p as a part of my tuition, and I'm less than pleased with the display quality. I love the machine for the most part, especially the keyboard quality/layout, but the display just seems subpar.

I just got an N100 in at work (I repair PCs/laptops) and the display seems much nicer. More than just the matte finish versus gloss finish (I'm not even sure which I really prefer), it just seems backlit more evenly, I guess.

I'm constantly adjusting the screen on my T60pfor the viewing angle, but this N100 that's on my bench right now is clearly visible from all around.

Is it possible to swap anything between the two without spending a bunch of money, or am I just going to have to get used to the T60p's display?

I will doubt it, however you can check the HMM of both machines for in depth further details:

N100.

T60/p.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
