Urgent question!

#1 Post by Diehard » Sat Sep 22, 2007 2:52 pm

I think I'm about to buy T61. I would like to know about NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS 140M, PCI Express x16, 128MB memory.

Is it better than Ati X1400 and ATI Mobility FireGL V5200?

Please tell me!

Z61t (9443-AA4) T5600 1,83Ghz 1GBRam 1400x900
T61 (6458 4UU)--> Just bought!( Now Sold!)

most certainly better. OTherwise why bother put it on the P version? One can't really say how much better because it's probably on par in most cases but maybe a tad better in a few. Still tho, it's a newer chip so better power management and other features should also be in play there.

I have read it before, and it's the reason why I posted this topic. According to the website.

NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS 140M is the worst card( among 3)!

I'm sorry! I was not specific. I mean in playing game. I know T61p is very much better, but its price is quite expensive now! Thanks for your answer, I have tried to read but still have not gotten the correct one!

I own 140M. I don't know what kind of information you are looking for, but I get 1450 in 3Dmark06, 3471 in 3DMark05. The only game I played, Quake 3 Arena, I play with setting settings as high as possible and I get max FPS (99 in this game).

Have played 1080p videos on my T61 w. 140M with good results.

I don't have much more information then that sorry. I have heard of a fellow that played Bioshock with around 30 frames per second.

I've found 163.44 nVidia drivers to be the best performing with this card in all applications I have been able to test it with.

note also 140M is direct X 10 card, the others you mentioned are not.
