#1 Post by sonics » Sat Sep 22, 2007 7:16 pm

As we know a SSD hard drive can speed system up. My question is if we setup the system virtual memory on a SSD hard drive, can this hard drive work as fast as the system's physical memory? If so I wanna purchase one of those hard drive for my T61p :P

No, an SSD drive is not as fast as RAM.

Well put that SSD in your laptop and install Windows on it. That'll make it fly faster than 4GB of RAM in your system. Remember that HDs are the slow down in computers today. Put a faster drive (the SSD) and that thing will move!

My 58Mbps one gets a 5.3 in Vista, imagine what those 100Mbps MTRON ones can do.
