ThinkVantage Password Manager Default Security Settings

#1 Post by chazchaz101 » Sat Sep 22, 2007 11:26 pm

I am using ThinkVantage Password Manager 2.1.0 and I am wondering if there is a way for me to set it so that by default, all stored passwords require a finger swipe each time they are used. Right now, the default setting is that I only have to swipe every once in a while to keep it unlocked, and I have to manually set it for each site if I want to require a swipe. Any ideas?

Yes you can change the default settings to require a finger swipe each time you use a entry from password manager. If you open CSS and select "Manage security policies" under the advanced menu option you can change the default settings and settings for some other options as well. Change the "Protection frequency" to "Always" for the default policy and you have to swipe your finger each time by default.
btw the reason why you had to swipe your finger just once in a while is probably because the default policy to open password manager db is set to Always be default i think. That way when you had to swipe your finger it's to open the password database and when already open you didn't have to.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was looking for an option in the password manager instead. :p
