BSOD with WinDVD in new T61/Vista Ultimate

Hi all,

I am the proud and happy owner of a brand new T61. I upgraded from a T43 that has served me well. Stats:

Ordered 9/10/2007, shipped 9/12/2007, received 9/17/2007.

6457 CTO, 2.2 GHz 7500 processor, 15.4" WSXGA+ screen, NVIDIA NVS 140, Intel Turbo Memory 1GB (I know, stupid purchase), 9 cell Li-Ion battery, 3 Gb RAM, 100 Gb 7200 rpm HD, DVD Dual layer, Intel 4965 AGN wireless, NMB keyboard (yeah!)... and I made the leap to Windows Vista Ultimate.

In any case, I have been quite busy trying to optimize my system for productivity at work (in academics). Completed all the ThinkVantage and Windows updates and driver updates, minor tweaking (like disabling some startup apps and indexing, nothing dramatic).

Overall, I have been very pleased with my purchase... until I experienced the dreaded BSOD!!! The first time, I thought it was a fluke, the second time, I suspected a problem. Both times, the BSOD happened approximately 20-45 minutes into playing a DVD using the pre-packaged Intervideo WinDVD player. The error is listed as:

Funny this is that I can't open the Mini092307-01.dmp file, and the WER* files don't exist (even as hidden files).

I really could use some help as a Vista newbie.

For further information, the STOP messages were:

0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x88FAD378, 0x88FAD4C4, 0x822AA5D0)

Using the following drivers:
BIOS: 7LET52WW (1.22)
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M: 7.15.11.5657

Hardware tests for hard drive and RAM are fine.

BSOD happened again.
Ugh.....

Any tips?
