win explorer freezes after clicking on START icon in Dck Stn

Hi New T61 with XPPro and docking station. Logs in Ok
When my client clicks the start button it freezes to an hour glass. Out of the docking station it works well.

I Ctrl+Alt+del and restart and it works. But this shouldnt need to be done. The updates have all been done. Any Hints
