Contest - Solve the complex problem, win a prize.
Suggestion - offer some type of small prize (maybe a % off deal somewhere) to the first member who solves a complex Thinkpad technical problem. Make a contest out of it. This is a good draw for new members from the technical community as well. Monthly contest with a new challange every month? An example would be "Solve the T2X BOD problem" or Solve the R5X and T6X Explorer Bar freeze problem". On and on.

Interesting thought, but I think that it would be pretty hard to be consistent with coming up with a new contest.
As for prizes, since this is a free forum, I don't see where the prizes would come from...though if someone solved the T2x BOD problem, there would be more than enough people willing to contribute money to the person that solved it!

I would drop $10-20 bucks in a hat held by Bill or one of the admins, to see this problem solved.
Maybe an update every so often to see how much the pot is. The bigger the pot, more the interest it would have.
As far as more problems to solve, more may pop up and more may not. But I think this would be a challenge that will bring ideas.
My $0.02.
