Hello, I have a problem with my x41 tablet.
All the button the the keyboard doesn't respond, including the track point and the buttons on the LCD bezel. The only exception is the access IBM button, volume up and down, and FN + F#(blue functions, like wireless, sleep...etc)
I thought I did a number locked, but NO.... I called Lenovo, they said they have no idea, and they are pretty sure it's a software issue, since the volume button works.
Please help.
Help, x41 tablet keyboard and trackpoint locked up
This happened to me after installing a Lenovo tablet driver update through Microsoft Update (not the ThinkVantage System Update tool). Microsoft Update (aka Windows Update) sometimes has driver updates available in the optional components section if you click Custom Scan (or whatever isn't "Express"). It was scary: my trackpoint and keyboard didn't even work in safe mode. However, I was able to use a USB mouse I had to do a System Restore rollback. If this option isn't available to you, I'd recommend using an external mouse and/or keyboard to uninstall the keyboard and trackpoint from the Device Manager [devmgmt.msc] (whatever devices the new driver is assigned to) and restart. Plug and Play should reinstall the drivers as appropriate.
This is just a suggestion. Proceed at your own risk, etc.
