Talk about service!

#1 Post by jacque26 » Wed Nov 03, 2004 6:12 pm

So, I talked to IBM yesterday about sending me out a Thai keyboard to replace my Chinese keyboard. Well, I was expecting it to arrive in 4-5 days or so, because that's what the tech said. But, it came THIS MORNING! They overnighted it to my house. Amazing!

And even better, I replaced the old one in 10 minutes, and this new Thai keyboard is just 100% better in my opinion....much more pleasing to type on.

What's the difference between the Thai and Chinese keyboard?
Everyone seems to say that the Thai keyboard is better... I'm still not clear on why this is.

By the way how much does it cost for a keyboard?

I recieved mine for free. They sent it quite fast. The general consensus of why it's better is that the overall stiffness is better, the keys are a little harder to press down, making it feel like a real keyboard, and the trackpoint buttons don't start to squeak or anything like that.

Mine is all of the above, and I like it better than the Chinese, after using both.

Ok then I'm assuming T42s come standard with the Chinese keyboard (which is what I have right now).

How would I be able to obtain a Thai keyboard - can someone give me a link?

And when you say 'free', is that free including shipping?
