9 Cell + Ultrabay Slim Battery = 96.66 Wh!

#1 Post by kjarrett » Wed Nov 03, 2004 9:08 pm

Well my 15" T42p is going to need all the juice it can get with this phat Flexview screen ... now that "I've got the power" with dual batteryage it'll be fun to see how long the batteries last. I'll be running at FULL brightness, WiFi, full everything (can I disable speedstep? LOL) ... and I'll let you know how I do battery-life wise!

p.s. the Ultrabay Slim battery is AMAZINGLY thin - 1/4", maybe!

0.37" thick to be exact. But yes, it is wonderful to have it. I have been asked a couple times if having it is worth it. And, based on some conditions, I feel that it is. I will say though, after a few weeks of use your capacity will likely be more like 95Wh or so.

Meh, too heavy for my likes. I enjoy just carrying my notebook in its sleeve and nothing else. That is 1/2 the weight of my entire notebook + batteries..

True... but I guess if you buy something like that it's mainly for the extra juice.
