Fingerprint software in Vista - lots of cpu usage

#1 Post by noetus » Mon Oct 01, 2007 11:00 pm

hi all,

I'm getting around 50% of my CPU on upeksvr.exe "Fingerprint Server Process for Vista" CONSTANTLY. This is making the fan run high and is ruining my battery performance. Is this a known issue? What to do?

My Fingerprint Server Process crashes once in a while in Vista, but never high CPU usage...did you try removing and reinstalling the Fingerprint software?

A reboot seemed to solve the problem, for the meanwhile.

Vista doesn't seem particularly stable, yet, so maybe it's just that. I get all sorts of weird glitches every now and then.
