FS X30/X31 recovery CDs

#1 Post by thanatos106 » Tue Oct 02, 2007 12:43 am

Up for sell are a set of two recovery CDs for X30/X31 brand new (I heard they'll work for other models but is up to you to search) for $30 shipped to any of the 48 continuous states. (price is no set in stone)

I take paypal and I only ship to an confirmed address.

Stuff that I'm looking for (if you want to trade):

The ultrabay HD drive adapter that fits into the ultrabase x3 FRU#12P4366

Atheros ABG wireless adapter for X31.

Contact me at thanatos106@gmail.com and let me know what you have and we work it out.

Thanks.

MOD EDIT: Picture without warning, overlimit (330kb), modified to link.

How do I determine if these CDs might work for an X22? I have the XP Pro COA on the case.

You can try IBM site and see if the FRU# match or maybe somebody here can tell you if they work.

Hi thanatos106,

I'm actually looking for the X30 IBM recovery cd's!
Are you selling each set for $30.00 or both together?

All I need is the X30 recovery cd set (just to have in case) - and paypal is no problem!

Disks for X31 will not work well in X22, or for that fact X30. These machines are entirely different, starting with USB ports and going on...

Speaking from experience:

X30 disks will work on any X2.

X31 disks will work on X31 and X32, and possibly above that...but can be used for basic re-imaging of any machine of that generation - T4, R5 etc., but you'll have to download additional-machine specific-drivers afterwards.

Hope this helps.

I don't see why they wouldn't, although I haven't tried that route...these machines are not that different, all in all.
