TVTSCHED process on R61 (7735 version)

#1 Post by plodolo » Wed Oct 03, 2007 4:20 am

Hi,
I see the tvtsched process hold 50% of cpu time.
After terminated it, the notebook grows its performances.
I've disabled the TVT Scheduler service too.

Is there anyother way to remove it?

Note to Mods: Lenovo seems to be having a huge problem with the TVTscheduler (tvtsched.exe) service. The problem is model independent and manifests itself in 1 of 3 ways;

1.) High CPU Utilization, up to 50% or higher mainly at boot time, but does occur at other times. This may or may not be related to logmon.exe

2.) Freeze on Boot - explorer.exe freeze, taskbar frozen, cursor works, nothing else works.

3.) Slow boot

I know that at least some of you have the ability to notify Lenovo through the proper channels in the event of problems such as this. Would it be possible for one of you do do that for us please?
Thank-you!

Anyway, I've just sent a technical request to Lenovo Support office.
