FS: Thinkpad 701CS, 2630-75U

Thinkpad 701CS, 2630-75U, 24mb ram (original 8 and 16mb chip purchased from Bill in 1997--seemed to be a big improvement at the time), 720mb HD, 486DX4 75mh Processor.

This is complete with pretty much everything (multiport II, floppy disk with cable, parallel printer cable, AC Adapter, manuals and paper inserts) that came in the original box. Also includes the original box and a thinkpad logo briefcase.

Warp 4 is loaded and it runs great, but it needs a CMOS battery. Will run Win 95 or perhaps Win 98

Also included are 4 batteries which are good for maybe ½ hour each. I'll throw in an 8x PC card CD drive, with driver disk that works with the butterfly. You have to edit your own autoexec.bat and config.sys files. No dead pixels, no broken or missing parts.

Asking $150 plus shipping. Listening to reasonable offers.

Paypal gladly accepted and I'll ship anywhere if you pay the freight.

Down to 2 batteries rather than the 4 in the original post.

If nobody makes an offer on this in the next few days, it's going on eBay.

Thanks.

THIS 701 SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD COLLECTORS ITEM COMING AS IT DOES WITH ALL THE PAPERS AND THE CARTON..
THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE WITH IT IS THE DUAL SCAN DISPLAY..
BUT IF SOMEONE WANTS (oops, caps lock off now) a TFT display i have a bunch.. cheap..
as well as some NEW keyboards..!

i also have a recovery CD if someone wants a copy..

none of this is free but none of it is over $25 either..

AND, this will run win95 fine..
win98 slowly..
and win2000 very slowly..
barebones versions of windows would run faster..

is this still availble?
i been looking around for a 701 in a good condition, trying to have one on display like a decoration or something, if it works then its a plus. i just like the idea of a butterfly keyboard.
