AFAIK others will see your edited posts as unread/new.

Excuse me but what do you mean "AFAIK", aren't you one of the moderators! I would've thought you'd know.

AFAIK means "as far as I know". I'm not sure either, but I think when you edit your post it should bump the thread to the top. Here is the official user guide for this board system, phpBB, its very detailed and should cover the scenario you're talking about:

Thanks but I know what AFAIK means. What I was saying is being a moderator I would have expected a definite Ya or Na.

Anyway, I don't think it works because when I post a new topic I see it go to the top of the list but when I edit it don't.

Perhaps it could be tested officially if someone cares to.

(ADMIN NOTE: where did THIS edit end up??)

not everyone has the answer to every question..

testing, it appears that an edited post stays right where it started from..
which is what it should do..
if yours are not staying put after an edit then perhaps you should nail it to your display.. :D

It's all good, I guess. I just thought it was an error on the site and wanted to bring attention to it.

Never the less I think edited post should be pegged as unread otherwise what's the point in editing.

BTW, I think it's part responsibility of board moderators to ensure all is functioning as intended.

I myself would welcome and thank those who inform me of possible errors on sites I monitor, whether I monitor for pay or not is irrelevant.

It helps me out and I would show gratitude for people who take the time and innitiative...
