Tools for measuring uptime on my Thinkpad...

#1 Post by 45 » Sat Oct 06, 2007 7:28 am

Hello,

does anybody know about a tool to measure the uptime of my notebook, to check battery lifetime? I know of some really good tools for pocket pc but can't find anything for windows.

Thanks in advance!

Look for "System Up Time" in the results of "systeminfo" in a cmd.exe prompt.

Here's a more specific command:

systeminfo | find /i "System Up Time"
IBM X220 | T61p | R61e | T43 | Black Macbook | i5 Hackintosh | i7 iMac 27 | Dell 3007WFP-HC WQXGA

Thinkvantage Power Manager.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Thanks for your answers. I try it with sysinfo but what I'am actually looking for is a simple to use standalone tool, wich keeps track of my uptime and resets automaticaly when I connect my thinkpad to ac and full charge is reached. There are really very good tools for windows mobile for this. Of course it is easy to write a simple tracker on my own, but I'am not familiar enough with windows coding to get access to the current charging level and ac/dc-state to let it reset automatically.
