Very rarely do I lose sleep over a ThinkPad...but this one has been buggin' me out for a while, and was incredibly reluctant to let it go...for several reasons:

The machine itself is as good as it gets if you're looking for a T43 without the "P" designation, and in 14" form. Period. If I could presently afford it, this laptop would've never made it to the forum. But right now I can't and someone else will be the lucky owner.

I've dealt with syedj on several occasions, and have always received items better than described, along with excellent communication and really, truly, humane approach to doing business. Not only is Syed someone from whom I'd buy anytime of day or night, he's also what they call good people in Brooklyn, (that's singular, not plural)...I don't even ask for pictures when I'm buying from him, and this trust comes from a reseller with very little confidence in human race in general due to a variety of past experiences....

Make a long story short, if you're in the market for a high-end 14" T4 series, JUMP on this one, and fast, before I recover and come up with funds...

Bump for a good machine and a GREAT seller!

Thanks George. I hope I can live up to your expectations.

You are right, this is as close to a T43p any T43 can be - including the 2.13GHz processor, fastest high capacity PATA HDD, DVD-writer and a little gravy on the top with on-site warranty. It has everything that a good work-horse laptop will need. 3D acceleration with Beryl under Linux and Vista Aero works out of the box without overheating the processor and the GPU (thanks to the X300 GPU) without the nasty roasting effect of a FireGL in a T43p - I speak from experience after using a T43p for a little over two years now.

If I were to buy another laptop in that price range, I would buy this one, no questions asked. This reseller is probably one of the best in this forum. I've sold and bought many items with him, and I would do so without hesitation again.

unfortunately, I am now in the market for a laptop in the 300 dollar range for a friend of mine.

This laptop is very tempting, though, to say the least.

Thanks Elias. I appreciate your kind words.

The laptop has been sold to a fellow forum member.

Thanks.
