Of course, the article is from The Inquirer, and completely vague as to what is really going on. Who is the creditor, and what does Lenovo supposedly owe?PC MANUFACTURER, Lenovo, has earned the ire of honorable Christine Moruza, a California Superior court judge, in recent days. It appears that a $10,000 US bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of an individual who was acting on behalf of the corporation.
The warrant was issued on the basis that the corporation failed to appear at an Order of Examination hearing on October 5, 2007. An Order of Examination is conducted to allow a creditor to discover assets and bank accounts of a debtor.
Court issues arrest warrant for Lenovo employee?

Court issues arrest warrant for Lenovo employee?

Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!
There are more questions than posed by K. Eng.
Is there one of these pending against "Debtor IBM Electronics Corporation"? If not, why not?
How does someone file what appears to be a small claims action against Lenovo and IBM and apparently win by default (on the basis of, what I would guess, is failure to appear)?
If IBM/Lenovo aren't going to defend small claims cases, is this what those who complain about EzServ should do?
What happened to all the lawyers (or their descendents) who spent their careers defending the anti-trust case the govt. filed against IBM years ago?
There are probably a lot more, but this is very strange.
More questions:
Is K. Eng the only moderator without a bird? Is there anyone out there that wonders about this kind of stuff besides he and I?
Stay tuned.
