Pulsing fan problem - X61 7675

Hello,

Does anyone else have the acceleration (pulsing) problem with their X61 laptops: "The Thinkpad fan briefly accelerates in regular intervals (every few seconds), causing an annoying periodic pulse noise."?
I just purchased a brand new Lenovo X61 7675 notebook and I noticed that the fan starts pulsing after a while. Is there any way to fix this issue? I've used both the T40 and a T41p laptop but I never had this problem before. Its pretty annoying.

I don't think that's a bug - I think the fan responds to the amount of CPU usage so as to save power, going up in times of high usage and dropping when the CPU isn't being used much. Someone with more knowledge may be able to clarify/confirm.
