Access Connections problem

#1 Post by tom_kladno » Tue Oct 09, 2007 12:31 pm

Hi,

I bought Z60m over one year ago and I was really happy, everythink was perfect. I work in three different wi-fi networks, two of them have static IP addresses, one has DHCP running in...

I decided to upgrade my drivers and apps so I went throught ThinkVantage System update and since that upgrade, I have problems with location switching. Everytime I switch to another network, the Access Connections software doesn't change IP address. All other settings are ok, DNS, Proxy etc... but the IP address is still from previous network. Sometimes restart helps, but not everytime. Usually I have to change IP address manually :(

I tried software and drivers reinstallation but nothing help. Also, my collegue at work (she has T42) has absolutely the same problem.

Can you help me please?

Thanks,
Tom

Have you activated, in the config menu, automatic location change?

I uninstalled the Access Connections from my Z60t. It was unreliable and causing problems but that's just me and probably just an isolated incident. I'm partial to the built in Windows config anyway.
