ultrabay battery giving an "error"

I got a ultrabay battery just bought used for my t43.. giving me an “error” when check with maximizer… any thoughts?? Or is it a dud..!

what's the error?

it just indicated "error".. one word nothing else.. i'm thinking it fried..

This happened to me when I got mine. (on a T42)

If you search - you may be able to find what someone told me. I can't remember exactly what it was - but it worked. :(

I think it may have been as simple as a reboot.

Acutally it didn't work at the begining.. still said error after reboot, so I just turn it off and let it sit.. and notice the battery led indicator orange color but my main batter is at 90% and thought something is charging so must be the bay battery, and IT WAS.

So the system must fully charge the main batt. and then will charge the bay.. i think reason of the "error" because it was brand new with zero cycle. It fully charge now.. Thanks for great info. i was about to toss it in the garbage or use my hammer to give it a HOT one.. lol :P
