Palm Rest Burning Left hand?

#1 Post by spasell » Tue Oct 09, 2007 7:08 pm

Recently, there was a post about the heat coming from the palm rest on the right side of the x61. My x61t recently has been running very hot on the left palm rest, so much so that not only does my palm begin to sweat after about an hour of use, but my hand now becomes almost painful, kind of itchy and annoying. I can actually feel the heat on this side radiating out of this without pressing on the palm rest itself. Anyone else experienced anything like this, and if so, is this normal? My fan does not seem to be running very often, so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I have heard it running before, but it's so quiet, I have to put my ear down to try and hear it.

I don't think that's too normal. If anything, the right side heats up but not really so much. I don't mind it. It's a comforting warmth on my machine, which is using an Atheros card (located under the palm rest on the right side).

I'd call Lenovo if I were you.
