How to remove parts of Thinkvantage

#1 Post by GhostriderTx » Tue Oct 09, 2007 8:11 pm

I have purchased a new R60e for my parents but I am providing remote technical support from a different state. I would like to remove some the Thinkvantage stuff since it is not needed for my parents to check email and stuff. Unfortunately I do not have it on my Thinkpad so I am operating in the dark. The main program that shows at each reboot is somehting like client security. DO you just remove it with the ADD/Remove programs or do you have to run msconfig or how? Thanks

If you want to remove it then yes, ADD/Remove programs is the right procedure.

The following thread can also help you or your parents: (please read it carefully and do the things that only applies to your situation)

how can I remove Thinkpad software?
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
