Will My Current LCD Cable Work (15" A31)

I have an A31 2652-C4U that has a 15in XGA screen, I bought an A31 2652-M3U thats missing a lcd. According to the IBM site this system has a 15in SXGA screen. The only difference I see between the two motherboard specs is that mine has 16mb video and the other has 32mb. Will my current lcd cable fit the new board or do I need a different cable? I know it wont turn my lcd in to a SXGA.

Don't know the exact answer for this. I've changed your subject line to reflect that you are asking about a 15" A31 display so that might attract the attention of somebody who knows for sure.

I installed a 14" xga screen assembly from an A30 (purchased assembly on ebay) onto an A30 that originally had a 15" sxga screen that was damaged. Used the 14" screen cable with no problem. You could check the part number on the lenovo site to be sure.

I checked the IBM site before posting, according to the specs the xga screen uses lcd cable 27L0681 while the sxga uses 27L0682, but there is no information on what cable will fit on what motherboard. Im just hoping my current monitor will fit the new board.

It should fit the board...connections are the same on all of them, to the best of my belief and memory...
