WTB: X40 or X41, possibly barebones.

#1 Post by solitude » Fri Oct 12, 2007 6:43 am

Hello, I'm looking for a cheap X40 or X41.

It must:
Have an ULV processor, LV is not enough.
Be in good cosmetic condition.
Be able to be shipped to the UK.
Be as cheap as possible :D
All covers, screws, etc.

What I don't need:
Windows CoA
Hard Drive
Dock
Ram

Preferred if it came with:
Intel wireless

I plan to add the 8 cell battery to this and run it off a CF card. It will be running linux (or XP if really needed, but MSDN gives me free copies of that)

I just need a workhorse which I can type on and last all day. :)

So, open to offers, or an idea of how much you think this should cost me.

(I am happy to use an escrow for this if necessary)

Thanks for the help.

AFAIK X41's have an SD slot, not a CF slot, so you can't run it off a CF card. At least, that's my understanding.
PLEASE DO NOT PM
My handheld device can not access PM's and I will not respond.

I will be using an IDE -> CF bridge internally. Hence me not needing a HDD with it.

Sorry to double post, but can someone at least give me a valuation of what I should be paying for the above machine, with the 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 processors?

thanks.
