R61 and Advanced Mini Dock

#1 Post by harry303 » Sun Oct 14, 2007 11:03 am

Hello,

I`m thinking of bying a R61 with either Intel X3100 integrated Graphic or Nvidia NV 140M deticated.

I`d like to use the R61 with the Advanced Mini Dock which provides a Dvi and a Vga connector.

Can I connect on both , Dvi and Vga, a seperate monitor und use them together in dualview ?

( I read a lot in this forum but only thing I could figured out was, that it is possible with T61 and without using the intern Thinkpad´s Tft)

But I didn`t find anything about the R61 and the X3100 or NV 140M.

So is here anybody who knows about it, or better, has tryed it out or has experince with this ?

I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible.

Of course, the internal LCD will be dark. You can have two monitors, but not three.

problem getting settings to stick

#3 Post by 5rivers » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:46 am

I have the same setup, one is DVI and one is analog on the mini dock. the dual screen works fine until the laptop has been undocked and taken home for the night. when docked the next day the settings revert and both monitors will display the same instead of extending the desktop. any ideas on how to stop this?
