T23 keyboard flex

#1 Post by think.t23 » Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:59 pm

My T23 always had this keyboard flex since I got it in upper left area where the heatsink is, around 1 and Q also little around Z.
Are people putting something under there to fix this?

I really like hear how people are dealing with this problem.

One more thing, there is a little gap between the LCD and LCD bezel near the inverter, IBM seem to be using some adhesive strip material that had dried up. What kinda stuff would you suggest to fix this (double tape?).

thanks.

with my T22 i'm not aware of the gap around the inverter, to my knowledge it should be 3 screws holing the bottom of the bezel in place.

as per the keyboard flexing, well, right around that corner of the keyboard you mention is the processor. i'd personally take off the keyboard and make sure that its not a heat issue.

not sure about "Z" though, the PCMCIA card slots are right there.

i think if you look at the bottom of your keyboard, you'll find your answers, it should just be minor though.

i wouldn't say its worth a new keyboard unless your obsessed with cosmetic perfection.
