Wallpaper problem
Wallpaper problem
Hi all,
I have a T43p, which I sometimes use as a laptop and other times docked with a separate monitor and keyboard.
As the screen dimensions/resolutions are different between the laptop and external monitor, I have to change the settings using the presentation director.
For some strange reason, every time I revert from the external monitor to the normal laptop display, an old wallpaper appears. I have deleted the file from the computer but still it appears! It is in the wallpaper list, even though a search for the file has no results.
Where is this file? Why does it keep changing the wallpaper to an old image even though I do not tell it to?
This is only a minor fault, but it is annoying. Any ideas on how I deleted this (already deleted) wallpaper file?
Any help much appreciated.
Paul

Proly the problem resides that the wallpaper is a HTML file or back in the windows 98 days, the Active Desktop was enabled, and first the normal wallpaper was shown and then the Active Desktop. Check under Customize desktop... in Display settings and uncheck the box My initial page, or something like that.

For me, I am using a jpg for the background, and active desktop is disabled. Problem still persists.

When using presentation director you have the option to select "My Normal Display Settings" and click capture.
The following settings is captured:
- Display configuration or mode (the device or devices that are used to display video output)
- Resolution
- Color depth
- Refresh rate
- Power management settings
- Screen saver settings
- Desktop icon placement
- Desktop background image file
- ThinkLight status
So if you change the background the way you want it and do another capture i'm sure the problem will be solved.
