Alternative Email or Phone Contact?

#1 Post by Lotus » Mon Oct 15, 2007 8:23 pm

I'm trying to get an order issue resolved, and I'm wondering if anyone has an alternative email to websales@ca.lenovo.com?

The person handling my request is xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx, and he is not very willing to take my issue any further.

Does anyone have an alternate email or a phone number (that's not in India) for *real* customer service?

My apologies for including specific names and emails, it had been a frustrating day with Lenovo, and I made a bad choice.

A few days before the end of the anniversary promotion, I was putting an order in on the Lenovo Visa discount site when my browser crashed. When I opened the browser and placed the (expensive) order again, I realized that I was on the standard website without the additional 5% Visa discount.

I contacted Lenovo via email. Support said that I didn't have to cancel the order, and I should create a price quote for the exact same system on the visa site for their, 'price protection'... then, send it in for the difference.

I tried numerous times to figure out how to create a quote, and I wrote and called Lenovo multiple times before the sale was over to try and figure out how to do this.

In the end I couldn't figure out how to create it, and figured that they simply meant the exact same configuration for the lower price... I have a pdf of exactly that, but it's not acceptable.

It was frustrating because...
1 .) I couldn't figure out that I actually had to place the order to create a quote 2.) I tried multiple times/days to get help on the quote issue before the sale was over, and received no response 3.) I used a visa card, why can't they just give me the additional discount.

Perhaps it's my own stupidity for not being able to figure out how to create a quote... but I thought dealing with IBM would be easy, so I didn't cancel and replace the order... which is what I should have done.
