#1 Post by Puppy » Wed Oct 17, 2007 3:32 pm

I found excellent ThinkPad display quality comparison pictures here: http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=17:23057

There are pictures comparing:
T60 15" 1400x1050 IPS
LCD monitor NEC 2090UXi (20" 1600x1200 A-TW-IPS panel)
T42 14" 1400x1050 TN

The posts indicate that the T4x model is actually a T43p w/ UXGA FlexView and the T6x model is a T60p w/ UXGA FlexView(fortunately numbers transcend the language barrier  ). I'll run the page through Google Translator later on so I can read what the Russians don't have to translate :)

For a $1000 monitor, I'd hope. ;)

Heh... $1200 here, and we need to add 25% ontop of that for VAT.

You must be very happy to own that NEC Puppy :)

Very great pictures by the way... it took me some time to figure out what the RGB shots on the right were for :)

The measurements seem about right.. 700:1 CR for the NEC, 280 nits brightness... about 520:1 for the UXGA flexview, 160 nits actual brightness.
