Fn-F5 with non-IBM mini PCI ? (Atheros 5212 chipset)

#1 Post by frankiepankie » Thu Oct 18, 2007 5:24 pm

Hello
I have found an mini PCI that was lying around here. It didn't have any brand or logo or something so i don't know which brand it is. Linux said it was an wireless card with the Atheros 5212 chipset. I found an product from SMC which uses the same chipset. I used SMC's drivers and my card works.....

But....... i want to turn my card on or off with the Fn-F5 keycombination. That isn't working now because i am using SMC drivers.

Is there any official IBM miniPCI wireless, which uses the Atheros 5212 chipset, so i can use the driver from that card?

Help me please 8)

You may find a solution here:

Found the above and many others, using Google with:
IBM miniPCI wireless, which uses the Atheros 5212

PS: een beetje zelf-initiatief kan nooit kwaad...
