That backlight should be repaired if you want to get out the maximum out of the sale...my opinion only...
If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, I know jamiphar offers that type of service, so you may contact him and see what's what.
In working condition, that machine commands $325-$350.
With a bad backlight it's anyone's guess...but I'd say under $200.
Do your math...
