Windows Update Problems on a brandnew T61

I just got a new T61 and I am getting Windows Update error 8000FFFF. A quick search on the web reveal several suggestions and things for this and related errors, but I guess I was looking for something more concrete from ya all...any suggestions? Thanks.

Since I never experienced this problem so all I can do is to refer you to the solution from Microsoft community:

windows update error 8000FFFF.

If you still have trouble after trying ryengineer's find, here are some more possible solutions. Search Results: 8000FFFF
