Sold: T40 in very good condition with original IBM on-site warranty remaining. The IBM on-site warranty is valid until December 9th, 2007.
This T40 is stock with no changes to original configuration. It has the HPA recovery partition with the most current image (WinXP Pro SP2). Full specifications are below.

This T40 is in perfect operating condition and very good cosmetic condition. The motherboard was just replaced under warranty. It works perfectly, no USB or video issues. There is moderate wear on the keyboard and palmrest. No cracks or significant scratches anywhere. The LCD is very bright and with NO dead pixels. I've included a large picture of the LCD because if you look very carefully you can see an outline on the left side of the LCD cable that runs between the back of the LCD and the cover. It is very faint and certainly not noticeable unless you look for it on a white background. I've seen this before on T4x's. If it bothers you don't hesitate to call it in under warranty to see if IBM will replace it. I have not because the LCD is perfect otherwise and very bright/clear.
As a bonus a licensed CD set and manual for Microsoft Office XP Professional will be included. (NO, I will not reduce the price if you don't want this bonus!)
$350 plus actual shipping and insurance (no shipping charge for local pick up). I will pack very well for shipping. PayPal, USPS M.O. or cash accepted.

I believe it can be exteneded one more year. It had a four year warranty to begin with. One more year of depot service is around $100-$120, I've seen people write about varying rates lately.Brad wrote:Can this warranty be extended?
Original warranty description;
This product has a special bid four year limited warranty.
This product is entitled to parts, labor and on-site repair
service (9x5 next business day) in approved locations.
Thinkpad batteries have a one year warranty.
P.S. When I had the motherboard replaced, I actually sent it in to the depot/EZServ, which is an available alternative when you have the on-site service warranty. I really didn't want to spend the time waiting for a technician, then watching him/her in my home for hours as they took the machine apart and then reassembled it. Plus if it needed extra parts, at least the depot would have them on hand. The machine was picked up, fixed in one day and returned within three days of placing the service call, perfectly fixed.

Seems to be a problem with the board/PM system tonight. I received multiple PM's but no notifications. syrenab I replied to your PM and I think I found your external email via your website and I replied there too.
